I'm the founder of All Things OSHC, and for more than 13 years I've had the privilege of working in the Outside School Hours Care sector in a variety of leadership roles, supporting educators, leaders and school communities to create high quality programs where children can truly thrive.

I have remained 'faceless' on All things OSHC out of respect for the amazing company I have worked for over the past 7 years, but as I finish up in my position to head overseas, I thought it was time to share who I am.

Like many people working in OSHC, I didn't set out expecting it to become my career, but it quickly became my passion, starting as an educator, to a coordinator, director, Area Manager, Regional manager then to an operations manager. Over the years I've had the opportunity to work alongside some incredible educators, lead teams through Assessment and Rating, support new services, mentor leaders, partner with schools and help services strengthen their quality practices. Through every role, one thing has remained the same: my passion for supporting educators and advocating for the incredible work we do in OSHC.

The idea for All Things OSHC came from a simple frustration, after a period of time when I was truly struggling in OSHC, on a train ride in England. I was constantly creating my own templates, checklists, planning documents and resources because I couldn't find practical tools that truly reflected the realities of working in OSHC. Before long, colleagues began asking to use them too, and what started as helping a few teams soon grew into a business dedicated to supporting educators across Australia.

Everything you'll find here has been created from real experience, not just theory.

 

Every resource has been developed while working in services, supporting leaders, navigating compliance, preparing for Assessment and Rating and solving the everyday challenges that come with running high quality OSHC programs. If I create something, it's because I've either used it myself or wished I'd had it at some point throughout my career. I have also collaborated with many experienced OSHC professionals across Australia to ensure my content is right for all.

I don't claim to know everything, but I genuinely love learning. Every conversation with educators, every Assessment and Rating visit, every challenge, every success and every new experience helps shape the resources I create. All Things OSHC continues to evolve because our profession is always evolving too, and I'm committed to growing alongside it.​

 

My biggest passion is making quality feel achievable. I believe educators shouldn't have to spend their evenings reinventing the wheel or feeling overwhelmed by documentation and compliance. My goal is to create practical, professional resources that save time, build confidence and allow educators to focus on what matters most, building meaningful relationships with children and creating environments where they feel safe, capable and inspired.

I'm also passionate about raising the profile of the OSHC profession. Our sector is filled with incredibly talented, dedicated professionals who deserve recognition, support and resources designed specifically for the unique work we do. If I can help make one educator's day a little easier, one leader feel a little more confident, or inspire someone to see the incredible value in our profession, then I'm doing exactly what I set out to achieve.

This year my family and I are embarking on an exciting new adventure as we relocate to England for the next few years. While my location is changing, my commitment to the OSHC sector certainly isn't. If anything, this next chapter gives me an opportunity to continue learning, growing and supporting educators from an even broader perspective.
